Project Overview
Located in Potts Point, Sussudio is defined by its intimate scale, sound-first philosophy, and refined aesthetic.
Inspired by the glamour of 90s Parisian disco and the precision of a recording studio, the space is curated to feel immersive, controlled, and considered, where music sits at the centre of the experience.
We were engaged to enhance Sussudio’s digital identity by developing a brand perception that felt distinct, memorable, and aligned with the venue’s tone. The objective was to move beyond conventional event coverage and establish a content strategy that could translate the venue’s atmosphere into a recognisable online identity.

Challenges
The focus was on developing a brand identity that felt original and not derivative of existing nightlife content.
At the same time, there had been a broader shift in audience behaviour. Guests were becoming more selective about how and where they appeared online, with less interest in engaging in traditional club photography.
This created the need for a more considered approach. One that could respect audience sentiment while still producing content that felt engaging, expressive, and aligned with the venue’s positioning.

Conclusion
Instead of documenting attendance, the strategy shifted toward capturing identity. Content strictly catered to candid, expressive moments that reflected the energy and individuality of the people within the space.
A distinct visual guideline was introduced, including the use of black and white photography to create a more timeless and moody aesthetic. Composition focused on movement, interaction, and atmosphere, allowing the imagery to feel less intrusive and more observational.
This repositioned photography into a brand asset.
Guests became part of the story.
The result was a shift in perception. Content felt more considered, more editorial, and more aligned with the venue’s identity. Guests became more comfortable being captured and more inclined to share, supporting organic reach and reinforcing Sussudio’s presence online.
