Project Overview
Cardea Sydney is a refined cocktail bar positioned around intimacy, atmosphere, and experience.
The venue blends premium cocktails with a warm, dimly lit setting designed to feel immersive rather than transactional. It’s a space where conversation, connection, and subtle energy define the night, not just the drinks themselves.
The objective was to translate that feeling into a campaign that didn’t just show the venue, but made people understand what it feels like to be inside it.

Challenges
The core issue was standing out.
Bar content has become predictable. Clean, polished, and safe to the point where it loses identity. Most venues document what’s happening, but very few create something that lingers.
For Cardea, the challenge was to push beyond that. To create a campaign that broke convention and captured attention, while still maintaining a level of polish that aligned with the venue’s premium positioning.
It needed to feel bold, but not chaotic. Distinct, but still refined.

Conclusion
The campaign leaned into the emotional tension that naturally exists within a bar setting.
Moments of flirtation, curiosity, and subtle attraction became the foundation. Interactions between bartender and guest were crafted to feel cinematic, where eye contact holds a second longer, gestures carry meaning, and the space itself feels like it’s part of the story.
Rather than presenting reality at face value, we built a heightened version of it. One that mirrors how people internally experience a night out. The anticipation, the curiosity, the unspoken moments.
This allowed the content to operate on two levels.
On the surface, it’s entertaining and visually engaging. Underneath, it feels familiar. Viewers recognise the emotion, even if the scenario feels stylised.
The result is a campaign that cuts through not by being louder, but by being more considered.
Professional in execution, but bold in concept.
Content that doesn’t just show the venue, but gives it a pulse.
